Adobe XD Challenge: Bill-Splitting App

I had fun creating this (dare I say) cute bill-splitting app. Who said finances had to be boring? Once I knew I wanted to create something cute, I went for a more pastel and simplified icon look. I also created bubble borders to keep things light & to give it more texture. Finances can sometimes be stressful so with this design users can feel more calm and associate it with a more pleasant experience. Overall I'm happy with how everything turned out and can see this app being used as a learning tool as well to teach basic math and percentages.
Things I've learned: This was my first time creating a slider that corresponded with scrolling numbers. I had trouble with keeping the numbers in line/they don't smash up next to each other. In a future project I would make sure to pay extra attention to the font I'm using & how it's all spaced.
Improvements: To expand it I would have a beginning screen where users enter the total bill amount along with tax. While the users toggle the sliders the total number at the bottom should stay constant. It might also be frustrating to just use a slider to get the exact amount (in dollars and cents). It would be sense to have a second feature where users can input the exact amount.
