I am a big fan of the Dutch masters and their artwork. Rijksmuseum's call for artists/designers to transform classic masterpieces into new masterpieces is the perfect challenge for my imagination.
The matchbox is a household item that most people don't pay attention to and I am determined to change that. What if matchboxes become artworks with a hidden message?
My approach was to trigger the "fire" inside all human being by asking a simple question: Did you find your perfect match?
Lovers may answer YES, seekers may say NOT YET.
In any case, you will discover "a match" every time you open this matchbox.
