NCHS Mission Mesa Pediatrics Clinic

The design of this project was proposed to Boulder Associates (Healthcare architectural firm located in Irvine) as a concept for their client NCHS Mission Mesa.  The goal was to replace their existing health facility with a  pediatrics clinic providing a new program of approximately 13,000 sqft that would serve to provide healthcare to children and teens for mostly lower income families in the area. Given only 3-weeks to complete, the deliverables included a site plan design, building programming and layout, building form and connection to sustainabiliity practives.

Site Description: There are two bus stops at the corner of the site allowing patients to arrive easily from public transportation. The patient parking lot is adjecent to Mesa Drive and is open to the front entrance of the building. The staff parking lot is located at the back of the site and is directly connected to a private entrance for employees.  The southeast side of the site design is landscaped with native plants and offers recreational opportunities for Oceanside residents.  This community park will be partly replaced with the future expansion of the Women's Health clinic, as outlined in the design plan.
