Paul Bunton's profile

The CASH Annual Conference

San Jose-based architect Paul Bunton, a principal and founding partner of BCA Architects, applies over 35 years of experience as an architect to educational, civic, healthcare, and religious projects. Paul Bunton and his team at BCA Architects have been recognized for their work by CASH, the Coalition for Adequate School Housing. Award winning projects by the firm include the Dartmouth Middle School Stem Lab, Christopher High School, and San Mateo High School.

Since 1978, CASH has been promoting and advocating on behalf of public schools in California. As schools across the state age, districts find themselves in need of large scale building, renovation, and modernization projects. CASH’s experience and organizational strategies can help school districts as they seek funding for these types of projects.

Each year, CASH invites members across the state to attend its Annual Conference on School Facilities in Sacramento, California. The 2018 event is scheduled to take place February 26-28 at the Sacramento Convention Center. At the conference, attendees will have an opportunity to attend trade shows, workshops, and technology demonstrations as well as discussions centering on energy conservation, building maintenance, and legal matters.

At the annual conference, CASH presents winning design firms with the CASH/AIACC Leroy F. Greene Design and Planning awards. Projects that fall into several categories are submitted for review by the panel of judges made up of architects and education professionals. Categories include small budget, big impact, new built, modernization and transformation, project-in-design, and master planning.
