TD Merchant Services

TD Merchant Services required an online portal so that their clients could access transaction details to balance their sales. The key to this project was to create a meaningful DASHBOARD to help direct the users to necessary information.
From the DASHBOARD you could zoom into each of the four main visual panels to see more details. Below that area you would be able to pre-read your notifications or go directly to a full view of each notification.
This is the site map: As you can see; it looks very simple and organized. The following four images help you to understand the complexity of even a simple site.
Complexity I: Integral to the success of this project was to create an effective search medium so that merchants could locate specific transactions.
Complexity II: Merchants also needed an interface to Dispute individual transactions that don't reconcile with their accounting. This interface shows the complexity of the dispute search. The searchable information, combined with a desktop & mobile view made this a challenge to structure.
Each of the terminals that you use when purchase something is at the lowest level of the system. A large store could have multiple terminals at one location. One location could be part of a group. That group would be part of a MID and that Mid would be part of a Chain. Chain - Mid - Group - Location - Terminal.

Complexity III: Our system needed a way to input and organize these locations by terminals and at the same time allow the user to have an understanding of where a terminal was in relation to the whole system.
Information organization was critical in this project. Merchants would often refer to the site to find a very specific transaction at credit/debit card level. Users might have to drill down more than 5 levels of transactional details, while at the same time, still understanding where they were in the site map of the transaction. Below are some examples of how this was achieved.
Login, Profile creation & User management were also part of this project.
Below are a few other pieces created for this project. The search and multi-select design were a big part in making this piece mobile first. This project was adaptive (vs responsive). We wanted to make sure this system was usable on mobile or tablet so clients could access this remotely.
