Redesign of Norweigian Nestlé brand - Viking Melk
In a collabortation between Brobygrafiska and Nestlé, our class was asked to redesign Norweigian Nestlé brand Viking Melk. Viking Melk is a Norwegian brand from Nestlé. Today, Viking Melk has two products in its range - dry milk and condensed milk. Nestlé's sweetened condensed milk will from this point forward be placed in the Viking Melk family in Norway.
Our mission was to give the Viking Melk family an updated design that attracts new consumers and increases sales without losing the previous consumers and recognition of the brand.
In addition to updating Viking Milk's packaging decor, a second part of the brief was to develop a product that can introduce Viking Melk in other segments. This new innovative product should fit into the family but at the same time challenge and develop Viking Melk. The new product should help increase usage and make more households see Viking Melk as an obvious product in the pantry.
Today we're turning to nature - whether it's going for a hike or for a weekend at the cabin. We would like to feel that we make food from scratch with fresh ingredients and we serve homemade buns rather than ready-made. At the same time, we are wrestling with a time-pressed schedule which means we're not able to get as much done as we would like. With this, it is just the right time for Viking Melk to expand its range with a product that facilitates this everyday struggle between time and quality.
A product that is simple to carry with you but also makes it easy to eat homemade food in the wild. With this product, Viking Melk can capture consumers who want something easily accessible at home but above all outdoor people who like to go out and enjoy life in nature.
We have developed a product range with baking mixes adapted to be easy to mix directly in the bag - in the kitchen or in the woods. The range consists of mixes for lefser, pancakes and American pancakes but with room to expand the segment with further baking mixes.
