My Northern District is a documentary photography Project that deals with addiction, dominance and dependency. The project addresses the dissatisfaction of the denial and the transition of northern suburb of Hillbrow in Johannesburg. While I was living in Hillbrow, I discovered many inhabitant who are living hardly for survive. And are overlooked by everyday commuters and neighbour’s; the neighbourhood is a possible space for the day and night workers, prostitutes and gangster life style, I see a possible evidence of fear which will later means displacement of the people who live in the area.
