“Ecclesia reformata semper reformanda secundum verbum Dei.”
(Translation: The church Reformed and always reforming according to the Word of God.)

October 31st, 1517 is traditionally held to be the day the Reformer, Martin Luther, nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg. The first of these being “When our Lord and Master Jesus Christ said, ‘Repent’ (Mt 4:17), he willed the entire life of believers to be one of repentance.” Luther and others were calling the Church to reform its ways back to Scripture alone. Even now, in our lives the church must reform to what is written in the Word of God and not the other way around. This artwork celebrates 500 years of the church reforming according to what has been “said.”
