Wolfling Game Cinematic Trailer:
This animation project in particular is the cinematic a trailer for the game. Cherylynn Lima, lead designer and 2D/3D artist, utilized a paper-cut style for the animation, to capture the 'storybook' feeling she wants the game to have. She wrote the story to incorporate an Inuit folklore feeling (as the wolf tribes are based on Inuit culture), mixed with traditional European fairytale. Because she's primarily an illustrator, this was her first endeavor in the animation field, on both 2D and 3D fronts. It was also her first time learning to blend Photoshop-created illustrations with After Effects. Cherylynn weaved Photoshop graphics with After Effects' camera and effects. Ian Melinn, the secondary designer and Unity guru, placed and implemented all of Cherylynn's assets and designed the environments.
