Temperance, The Haunted South
This project was created for Vertica, on their new album "The Haunted South".
I directed, shot and edited a music video for their track "Temperance", as well as shot and edited band photos to be used in various promotions.
Filming took place over the course of one day, and I spent months editing and preparing footage for our release on October, 25th 2014.
We shot the video in 4k on the Black Magic Production 4k Camera, using primarily a canon 50mm EF lens. All editing was done with Adobe Premiere, Speedgrade, After Effects, and Photoshop.
I pulled inspiration from the album art used to style my shots with. In the theme of "haunted" a lot of the shots were dark, muted, and colored with cool, green tints. We attempted to get a very hectic vibe with increasingly quick cuts, and rack focuses in the video.
