ACEND is a photography and graphic design studio. With her work, Alyssa, the owner, is more than just a photographer: she’s a visual storyteller. Her work doesn’t feel posed or like traditional photography. Her pictures feel raw, emotional, vulnerable, and authentic to every person in front of the camera. She specializes in weddings, where she can form a special relationship with her customers that lasts throughout the entire story of their family. 

Because of the passion Alyssa has and the quality of her work, we knew we had to do something special for her website. Our biggest struggle was creating a design that allowed her photos to do most of the storytelling without appearing like your average photo gallery. We worked to build a website that allows her photos to speak for themselves while giving website visitors the information they need to book a session.

Before working together, Alyssa had a portfolio-style gallery website that wasn’t optimized for SEO and did not have clear calls to action that allowed people to interact with her brand. We transformed her website into an experience instead of just a portfolio.

Her new website clearly outlines what clients can expect, helps them book a session, and shows what makes her different from other photographers. To do this, we focused on using deep and dark colors to highlight the shadows in her photos instead of using bright colors that would detract from her work. Our goal was to make it feel like you’re looking through the lens of the camera and seeing the same story as Alyssa as you scroll through her website, and we love the dynamic and unique way it turned out!
