Tora on Train
Personal animation project using 2d illustration,
This animation is about a dramatic way to tell what we miss when we only use our eyes to see, not observe. By creating a transition from light version of the illustration into dark one.
The theme that was brought is about the lost '60s trend of japan, sukeban.
Sketch to define objects and characters on foreground, midground and the background to create dimension.
the vocal point is on the center, and variative height and size was being added to gives dynamic feel. On the animating process I also add blur to lead eye direction to the subordinates, and then the leader
dark version (left) and the light version (right) of the illustration.
Tora as the leader mask to reference the bravery, intimidation and power.
while the subordinates using Oni mask, as to show the one who is being less dignified
