3M Proposed Logo Redesign 

I’ve always wanted to take a shot at redesigning the 3M logo. They’re an amazing local company that you might know for things like duct tape and Post-its. They are blessed with a set of initials that can be identical shapes, however in 1977 they rebranded and went to what looks like an “out-of-the-can” Helvetica. It’s a very legible logo, but also a very plain logo. It’s like an all bread sandwich. I decided to go back to the 1961 logo and simplify from there. What do you think. I included a slide with eleven additional typographic variations.
