Paper folding assignment

I separated my folds into three big categories. Symmetrical, Abstract and Irregular. I also experimented with some ideas and tried combining the three types of folds together into one. Some failed, some succeed. During the 50 folds I also found out some interesting patterns throughout the process of experimenting.
These are some folds I did base on the idea symmetrical. The lines and shapes on the paper satisfied me not only by looking at it, when I was folding the papers, matching the lines are also very satisfying.
These are the folds in the irregular categories. I tried avoid being symmetrical when I was folding them. The first and second one on top left was me experimenting with 3d shapes, I personally thought it’s a failure since the patterns are lost during the folds. Although the 3d one failed to be stunning, I was surprised by the result from the others. When I was folding them, I randomly chose a corner and fold it to a point that first came into my mine, and I continued folding without opening the paper. Soon after I am finished, I will open up the paper to see the lines or patterns I had folded. They were surprisingly good after all.
Lastly this is the Abstract category. This is the one I experimented a lot with when I was folding, because I wanted to be as abstract as I could. In some of the folding I also used the technique of not folding it from start to end. I would only fold part of the paper and create this line that has sharpe and soft edges. I also experimented with making the lines off the centre, folding it the way I am not used to.
Here are the three favorite I chose each from the categories above. I chose them because in my opinion, they stood out the most and there are some cool shapes within the folds. For example the middle one above contains the shapes: triangles, hexagons and even diamond. Common shape between them are triangles and hexagons, and they also have some symmetry within them which I really liked.
Finely my favorite one out of the 50s. It is my favorite because it is not fully symmetrical, the two lines across the page are not horizontal but it doesn’t make the fold look unbalanced. Different from the previous 3 best, it has no complicated patterns or hard techniques, it looks simple but has a point to attract viewer’s eyes.
