CommunionCards.net Redesign

Redesign of e-commerce website and web to print web-application. This is a good case study for UI and visual design. If compare to the previous design not too much change in terms of site architecture, user flow and layout. But a complete overhaul in terms User interface elements and visual design. The overall look and feel is much more modern, and gives and idea of craft and warmth that the previous design lacked of.

White space can definitely make content and/or data more readable. By allowing elements to "breath" by slightly separating them away from each other they begin to be allowed to be perceived individually. Making your calls to action be a bit more prominent and distinguishable in relation to the elements surrounding them, will make your UI stronger.

Mega Menu Design - provides a nice solution to overcrwoding the menu bar by simplifying the user interface and reducing visual clutter and choice paralysis.
Product Page - Some limitations of the web-to-print platform prevented this page to change much but we can still improve usability and increase conversion by improving small details like increasing the hot spots. According toFitt’s Law, we need more time to click on something with a pointing device, the further away it is and/or smaller it is. For this reason, we wrap the product boxes around an anchor element to increase the size of clickable area.

The form fileds are much bigger to improve the user experience of filling out forms on the web.
FAQ Page - Progressive Disclosure protects the user from too much irrelevant information. It's a pattern which only shows information gradually if it makes sense to do so - often in the context of forms. Typically, progressive disclosure's gradual unveiling is also accompanied by some form of inline expansion or slide out animation. This helps to only show/ask for what is relevant to the situation at hand.
