This is one of my personal projects.

As part of the Advent week, I want to highlight believers in a war-torn country, Afghanistan, which is stated as this year's 2nd most dangerous place to follow Christ.

I drew this lady of Hazara (most Afghan converts are Hazara people, a Persian-speaking ethnic group residing in central Afghanistan) laying on a boat amid ocean waves. The illustration depicts the hope of Christians in Afghanistan longing to worship openly, especially during the political tumult under the Taliban government.

May they have peace and strength as they're secretly celebrating the coming celebration of Christ's birth.

"There's no peace like the peace of those whose minds are possessed with full assurance that they have known God, and God has known them, and that this relationship guarantees God's favor to them in life, through death, and on for ever." - J.I. Packer, 'Knowing God.'
