Lightroom Discover - Adobe Creative Residency (2021)
Through the Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund, I was commissioned by Adobe Lightroom to create 20 Discover Files and share my editing process with the creative community. Each Discover file allows users to see how the image was processed, view the camera metadata, and even save a preset of the developed steps.
The interactive learning feature empowers, engages and inspires the photographic community with great images, useful knowledge and relevant skills. In addition to getting an insight into the editing process, the creative community may read about the artist’s intent.
"The Lucky Few" refers to Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome. A lot of my work is centered on people with visible differences because I think the less diversity people see in their everyday lives, the more disconcerting they might find it. And for me, diversity does not exist without inclusion. I love creating storytelling images, unfolding stories that inspire me, hoping to inspire others.
For this commission, I selected and shot images with lots of different lighting situations, in order to show Lightroom’s endless editing possibilities and inspire learning within the photography community. I mainly worked with Lightroom on my desktop, but also tried the mobile and web versions.
