[ UM Ford Career Services] SI501 Course Project
Our project for Graduate Career Services(GCS) of Ford School of Public Policy mainly focused on the routine process of tracking internships and fellowships and how the system works to help students and employers find a match. We interviewed GCS faculty to learn their responsibilities in the process as well as the interaction between the fellows. We analyzed the situation and worked out five consolidated models demonstrating the flow, sequence, culture, physical position, artifact for GSC. We also looked into the affinity notes to categorized the problems and raised design ideas which are developed into final recommendations for improvement. The most exciting part was that we came up with a pilot project that was feasible for GSC to test their plan to open eRecuiting system to credible employers. Our project was a success that our recommendations were innovative and satisfied by our client, we also maintained good relationship with our client during this project. Our FF5 team collaborated closely on this project most of the time. I worked out the sequence model individually and I did the final combination of group consolidation models. I was also responsible for contact the GSI.
